Sandblast Etched Gallery

Etching is the effect of any process that erodes the surface of glass to produce a frosted appearance.  At Shards, we use sandblasting to achieve this effect.  A three dimensional quality can be achieved through staged carving or a surface frost may be used to create two-dimensional graphic patterns.   This technique can be very effective on clear glass, mirror, and a variety of substrates.
